Daddy returns to work & Nana moves in (for the week) Tuesday May 12, 2009

Daddy/Daughter bonding time.

Today was a great day. I woke up early to make Mason's lunch and bring him breakfast in bed as I knew he was not looking forward to returning to work. We sat and enjoyed each other's company before Annie awoke hungry (like a wolf). Even Henry and Skye had breakfast as they helped themselves to half of my bagel while I was out feeding Annie!

After breakfast we had time to quickly bathe Annie before Mason had to head out for work. It was quite an adventure as Annie had not been bathed in a while and we realised she had crusty milk on her chin. Skye and Henry once again joined in on the festivities and made sure that Annie was okay throughout the entire ordeal. Thankfully, we all survived the bath and Annie smells delightful now!

Mason then left for work and we could tell he was not happy leaving his girls. Infact, shortly after arriving at work, Mason called and asked if we could drop by with Annie before we started running errands as he was missing her. Mom, Annie and I stopped by and allowed Mason to introduce his daughter to his friends, co-workers and clients. It was so nice to see Mason beaming with pride as he introduced her to everyone.

My Mom (Nana) and I then carried on to go grocery shopping at Wal-Mart supercentre where Annie had a suprise waiting for me. Her first public diaper change!...and yes, she saved a poopolosion (her first one) for me! LUCKY MAMA! Thankfully we both survived the experience.

Nana came home and cooked us a fantastic meal, cleaned our house and started to tackle our basement...yes, the dreaded pit. By the end of the day, we were amazed that she did in one day what we couldn't do in over a year. Thanks Momma.

Karin our midwife also stopped by to check on Annie and I again. Here's Annie's stats.
