Mission Accomplished!

Smiling and cooing!

The past few days have been busy as per what is now our usual at the Burlington Fraser residence. On Friday Nana Share, Uncle Daniel and Jim stopped by for a visit. Jim bought Annie a month's supply of premium diapers. A very useful and appreciated gift as she goes through diapers way too fast. It was a great visit and we were able to enjoy a nice dinner with my family who could not get over how cute and alert Annie was. We are her parents and we still can't get enough of her either.

Yesterday we went for a family walk with Annie, Henry and Skye. Henry's ban from all family walk rule was lifted and we did a 'take two' attempt and thankfully this time Henry did not pull a Houdini and escape from his Harness in Downtown Burlington (Lakeshore to be exact) like he did last time. We walked for a long time and Annie and the dogs were very happy to get out.

I also bought a new sling/wrap for Annie called Blue Celery. It's similar to the Moby Wrap Amy and Dean recommended, but is three pieces and has no real fancy tying and allows for it to be a sling or a wrap whereas the Moby can only be used as a wrap. Yesterday Annie was fussy and clingy pretty much all day long and when I tried the Blue Celery wrap on and put her in she fell asleep within 20 seconds. We were amazed and I was sold! Since then I've worn it for several hours each day and she falls asleep within minutes allowing for me to have hands free to get stuff done. Today when I wore it I was able to do my hair and make-up while she was passed out and I even wore it when we went shopping at Home Depot...FREEDOM!

Today was also a big day for Annie. My talented friend from High School Chan-Ra came over to do a newborn photo shoot with Annie. We got some amazing pictures and Annie was her ususal wide-eyed self with only a few minutes of tears as she was hungry. Once fed, she fell asleep as if on cue as Chan-Ra was wondering how we'd get some asleep shots. He was even able to get her to smile on camera. We'll post pics once we get them.

After Chan-Ra's success in getting Annie to smile I thought I'd take a stab at it as she seems to smile while having her diaper changed. After waking up from her nap Annie gets unswaddled and often does this adorable stretch where she squeals...just like Momma...many of you know what I'm talking about...but picture it minisized. It's too cute. After she was finished stretching and had her diaper changed she was very happy and cooing and I was able to capture SEVERAL smiles! WOO HOO! Thank goodness for our awesome camera and for our smiley baby girl.

Another winning smile!!
