We can't believe that Annie will be six months old tomorrow. Where has the time gone? It amazes us each day how much more she can do and how interactive she has become. When we look back on how small she was it seems like such a distant memory.
Yesterday we took her for her 6 month wellness check and of course things were great. Annie weighs 14.3(and a half) lbs and is still measuring 70cm. She had not gained much from her last appointment but our docotor was not too concerned as we've all been pretty sick. At this rate of growth Mason and I are betting that Annie won't hit the 20lb mark by the time she's 1...but I guess that's still to be determined. Her cousin JD has already passed that milestone!
Yesterday we also introduced Annie to cereal again. We tried a few weeks back and it was a disaster. Yesterday went well she ate most of the cereal and enjoyed it. Today she polished off the bowl (all 1 tsp of cereal) and then promptly threw it all up. I guess tomorrow is another day and we'll take this transition slowly.
We are still all on the mend and Annie and I are relaxing together trying to get well so we can get back to socializing and play dates.
Love,
Amber
P.S. I FINALLY updated the photo album links to show month by month. We were having a hard time updating the weeks so hopefully it's a lot more user friendly for your blog followers.
Not to worry if she isn't 20lbs by a year. Katherine is measuring in at a whopping 18lbs. It just means you don't have to buy a new car seat for a while!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer that does make me feel better. We have the new car seat already and are so sick of the bucket seat. In 4 more cm she'll have outgrown it and we can move onto the Big Girl seat. We did not realise how difficult adjusting the seat would be (as our adjusts from the back) and are looking forward to our one hand adjusting feature on the new seat.
