Yesterday was Mason's 30th birthday. Annie and I had a lot of surprises up our sleeves for Daddy/Mason. At lunch time we surprised Mason by showing up. He was confused as he was 'scheduled' to fly in 10 minutes but happily sat and ate his lunch (I packed for him) quickly. I tried stalling but couldn't get him to stop eating as he thought he had to fly soon.
A few minutes later, his parents and grandparents showed up too! (He still did not put the pieces together at this point). His Mom had made sandwiches and brough cake, chips and pop so we could all celebrate together. Barb and I conspired and I managed to get Mason's work to put in a "fake" student on his flight sheet so we could have a whole hour with him.
Annie also tried cake for the first time. It is like baby crack, I thought she'd have a taste but before I knew it she'd gobbled up way too much of Grandma's cake and was screaming for more. I had to take her away and fill her belly up with some nutritious fruit instead.
When Mason came home from work Annie and I surprised him with a gift (we got him a handsfree Bluetooth device) not the one that goes on your ear though. It's like a big speaker he talks into. It's pretty cool and now he can safely answer calls while in the car. I even made him a brownie cake as he dropped some subtle hints about what type of cake he wanted.
Annie, Mason and I went out to a fancy restaurant to celebrate his birthday. You can tell they rarely have young kids as customers as they gave Annie crayons and a menu. Annie happily ate our food and her snacks we had packed for her. A nice couple (that we later learned were the owners) commented on how well behaved Annie was as she was happy and so good during the meal.
Today Annie is 10 months old. I can't believe it. It seems to have gone by so fast and I can't believe she will be 1 soon. YIKES!

Sounds like you punk'd Mason real good...or as they say in the Maritimes...right some good! I can't believe Annie is 10 months old. Seems like just yesterday you called to say you were in labour. I miss that little muffin so much. Give her a big kiss and hug from Granna and a Happy Birthday hug and kiss to Mason. xxxooo
