Family Day 2010 Well, the wait is over. I patiently waited 9 months and 9 days to hear Annie say Mama. On February 13, Annie decided to give me an early Valentine's Day gift. It was mealtime and apparently I was not getting her lunch together fast enough so she was fussing in her chair and banging her cutlery to get my attention. When her attempts to get me to go faster didn't work, she decided to really get my attention and shouted "Mama, Mama!" I immediately turned around and gasped! I started to well up with tears, but poor Annie was crying at this point as my gasping must have scared her. It took her a while to say it again, but since then she says Mama fairly often and knows that Mama=me. It's pretty neat. I can't wait to see what she will do next. I will try to get her saying Mama on video as it's way too cute.
We hope everyone had a fantastic Valentine's Day and Family Day celebrating with their loved ones. Here is a new video of Mason making Annie giggle. It's pretty funny as she has a great belly laugh going on.
