Growing...

Our weekend at the Cottage with Aunt Meg & Uncle Steve

Today Annie had her 4 month check up with Dr. Mascairn. She is still a little weed and is now 66cm long and still in the 95% for height. She weighed in at a whopping 13lbs today and is still under the 50%. She is growing steadily so he thankfully did not lecture me about my petite daughter. As her mother I know she's well fed and happy so I am happy and not worried about her weight gain.

Annie is growing so fast that she is outgrown several of her pants and shirts. It's funny to see sometimes as pants that were worn a few weeks ago are now way too small. She is still so petite that she is still wearing size 1 disposable diapers when she's not in cloth diapers so clothing our long and lean baby has been tricky at best.

This past week Annie and I had Lindsey, Georgia Mae, Auntie M and Chrissy visit. It was so nice to see everyone and to have some adult conversations too! This past weekend Mason, Annie, Henry, Skye and I enjoyed our first family trip to a cottage. Uncle Steve and Aunt Meg invited us up to the Hodgkinson family cottage for the long weekend. The whole family enjoyed every minute of bonding, relaxing and basking in the beautiful weather. Annie was fantastic and slept so well in the fresh air.

While at the cottage Annie took her first dip in the lake and was not a happy camper at all and was so angry we dared dip her toes into the cold water. Skye on the other hand thought she had died and gone to heaven. She was swimming in the lake for hours straight and would not tire despite all of our efforts to throw her "Squishy" (dead squirrel toy) into the lake.

We were sad to say goodbye to Aunt Meg, Uncle Steve, the cottage and Summer too. Thankfully we have a lot to look forward to for the next several weeks with Cooper's naming ceremony, Auntie M's Wedding Shower, The Fraser Weekend at the Bruce, Auntie M & Uncle Darren's October wedding and Thanksgiving.

  2. Yes, Momma we knew! Crazy huh?! Mason and I were saying how fast those five years passed, but how far we've come together.
