Long Overdue

Our little naked ninja!

Well, it's been a looong time since I have put a post up and I know several of you are wondering where your daily updates are. My appologies, Annie's daytime sleep schedule has been throwing me for a loop as of lately. For now, she's wide awake and happy and not a clingy koala bear as she has been latched on me for the past several days for almost 90% of her awake hours. As I write this the little girl is fussing again, so I may have to resort to one-handed typing.

There's not much to report as Annie has no new tricks to share. For the past several weeks she has reliably been fast asleep by 9:45pm and wakes up once around 4ish for a 10minute feeding and the passes back out until 7ish. Mason has had almost three weeks of full nights sleep, so he is less tired. I can't wait until Annie sleeps through the night so we all can get a good night sleep.

This past weekend we had our first overnight trip with Annie to visit Gramma and Papa Fraser in London. Annie was fantastic during both the ride there and back and slept the whole way while Mommy and Daddy sang along to MJ on our iPod. While preparing to leave, we could not believe the amount of things we had to remember for Annie, let alone for Mason, Henry, Skye and myself. Let's just say the car was stuffed!

We had a great visit and Cousin Cooper (who is five months older than Annie) was there visiting too. We also had a chance to go and see Great-Grammie Abbott (Mason's Grammie) and officially introduce her to Annie. Grammie loved Annie and commented on how cute, precious and dainty she was. Grammie held Annie for about half an hour before we all escorted Grammie to the dining hall at her residence. It looks like a fancy restaurant and the staff serve them delicious restaurant quality meals. As we escorted her to lunch several of the residents were asking us questions about Annie and Cooper and were happy to see such happy babies. It was very touching and made us want to visit even more.

While we were away we got a "new" bedroom set and had our hallway painted. The bedroom is a beautiful sleigh bed set and it really makes our room look great. Now all we have to do is add some finishing touches.

This week Annie and I started strollercise and are getting out 3/week with local moms and friends with babies. So far we love it and hope to join some groups once Annie meets the age requirements.

  1. I love the generational pictures. You all look great and Annie is alert as always. Sounds like Annie is pretty good in the sleep department, but for a longer sleep, she needs to come and sleep in the country sea air and I guarantee she will sleep for 10 hours!
Lots of kisses and hugs to you all. I miss you all.
