Mason and I are avid fans of A&E's show Intervention. For those of you who are not familiar with the series, it is basically a show that disguises itself as a documentary about an addiction and has addicts agree to take part under the guise of it being a documentary on drug abuse/alcohol abuse/ OCD...you name it they've covered it. In the end however, the documentary turns into a full blown intervention with their friends, family and an interventionist "surprising" the addicts with an Intervention at what they think is their final interview. During the intervention each family member and friend is able to speak their mind and say how the addict has affected their life. They always say the same things too. Tonight while I was having a bubble bath Mason and I were joking that today is Annie's intervention day that we have come up with a list as to why she needs to come out. Here it is...
Annie, your staying in my womb has affected us in the following ways.... (that's what they always say on Intervention)
1. I'm in pain!
2. Daddy wants a "vacation" from work.
3. I've lost track of days and am already on Mat Leave (without a baby!).
4. Daddy thinks every time his phone rings I'm in labour.
If you fail to accept the gift we are offering you today we will take the following actions:
1. We will rent your room out to another baby.
2. We will charge you rent by the hour to stay in the womb.
3. Mama will deprive you of Waffle Ice Cream Cones for a month! (just kidding!)
Annie, will you accept the gift we are offering you today?
That is too funny. I like the intervention you had with Annie. Hopefully it works soon. I am hoping that the pedicure will fast forward her arrival and that she will come soon.
ReplyDeleteOh and you forgot one of the reasons why she needs to come out:
5. Auntie Miranda cannot wait to meet you.
xoxo Auntie M
Ha, she did not listen, I even bribed (sp?) the kid with a banana milkshake and nothing...
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should give her an eviction notice. It worked for us...hehe..
ReplyDeletexoxo Miranda
HAHA...I have a funny eviction notice that someone sent me. I'll see if I can find it and post it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Amber
