Sorry for the blog drought. It's been a crazy hectic transition back to work. I know several of you have been waiting for some pictures. Here are a few of my beautiful family. Not much to report. Annie is growing too fast, we can't believe she's 17 months old. Time has flown by. She's such a happy little monkey and so full of wonder.
Some of her latest baby tricks are:
- Singing, she SINGS everything and pics up songs after hearing them once or twice.
- She knows most of her letters and now we're working on sound association.
- She dances non stop, lately to her Dancing Chicken Elmo.
- She gives kisses, hugs and sqeezes.
- She says, "I wuv eww!" without us making her. ;)
- Annie can finally feed herself.
- She lets us know (the majority of the time) when she has to use the toilet.
- She loves to climb, build, run and play at the park.
- Annie is can now follow simple instructions and does it happily. (i.e., Go sit down in your chair and I'll bring you a snack."
- Says, "I don't know." when you ask her to find something and she doesn't know where she left it.
- Asks for "elp" (help) as she needs it.
Well, I could seemingly go on and on. She's come so far in such a short time it's truly incredible. Her vocabulary is amazing and she is no longer frustrated with trying to get her message across. Tantrums have been kept to a minimum as a result. There is the odd meltdown when she wants a cookie and I don't respond to the "Mommy, Annie, Cookie!" requests, but otherwise she's doing so well.
We miss all of you and hope things are going well in all of your lives. I promise once things settle with my new job/return to work I'll be better at updating everyone.
