Well, this morning when Annie woke up from her nap I thought I would try putting her hair in full pigtails as last time I tried her hair was too short. This time it worked, but I needed to wet her hair and try to keep her entertained. Apparently I'd taken too long as when I came downstairs 5 mins later to let the dogs inside from a quick bathroom break Henry was no where to be found. I ran around the backyard calling his name. I was starting to panic as Skye was acting really strange and running all around the backyard like a crazed Momma Bear looking for her lost Bear cub. I picked Annie up and ran outside the front of the house with the phone in one hand calling Mason to tell him that I couldn't find Henry. As I'm spitting the words out, I see Henry in a neighbour's arms. She'd apparently knocked on our door and was now getting a neighbour to call on the phone. I did not hear the knocking at all as Annie and I were in the bathroom with the door shut and Skye, who would normally have barked, was outside. Mason was freaking out too, but glad to hear Henry was safe. Anyhow, in the end, Annie had cute pigtails and Henry was safe and sound. It took Skye and I at least an hour to calm down, but we're glad Henry is safe and home again. Lessons learned... pigtails take a long time to do and don't leave your old, blind and deaf dog outside with another dog to watch him.
