Momtuition and our mobile girl.

Annie and I being silly at Springridge farm.

Yesterday Mason had the afternoon off and was planning on taking Annie to Springridge Farm for some Daddy/Daughter bonding time. Admittedly, I was so disappointed I had to go to work that I was mopey for the drive into work. When I got to work, I was mopey too and tried to put on a happy face. That is until I saw Teri, Teri was the lady who did my Mat Leave. She was at the school supply teaching for the morning only and was more than thrilled to teach the afternoon so could be with my family and go to the Farm too.

It was so nice to be able to have lunch with Annie and Mason and to be able to get away for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day with the weather being something like 25. We had a fun time at the farm but decided it is a place to take Annie when she is a bit bigger. They had a handful of farm animals so once we saw them there was not much else for Annie to do. When she is bigger they have a corn maze, a huge covered sandbox and a wagon ride. I think we'll be waiting a while for her to enjoy that though.

On the way home from the farm Annie was coughing a lot and I was getting a bit worried. I suggested we take Annie to the walk-in clinic just to be safe. Thankfully we were seen quickly and were in and out in 30mins. My Momtuition was correct Annie was sick, turns out she had Bronchitis. The poor kid is on meds for 10 days.

Well, I guess this is karma getting back at me, or perhaps it's a gift? I was more than happy to stay home again with Annie. Teri was more than happy to supply for another day for me and I felt at ease knowing that she knew the kids, their parents and the routine. Normally I spend the day away worrying this time I was relaxed for a change.

Annie was a happy girl and enjoyed going grocery shopping, to the park and playing outside in yet another beautiful day. When we got back from our walk we were both sweating so I put Annie on the living room floor while I ran to the kitchen for a glass of water. When I came back she was across the room standing up by the coffee table. I was confused but wasn't sure how she managed to get there that fast.

A few hours later Annie and I are playing and she crawled to get a block right in front of my eyes--on all fours. She has since crawled around the living room and is excited at her new found skill. Here is a video of her crawling on all fours and being somewhat happy.
