Well, I finally got the go-ahead to write and share some pictures of Miranda and Darren's beautiful baby boy. Cameron Jackson Barry was born on Sunday July 11 @ 2:01am after 29+ hours of labour. Miranda and Darren allowed me to be in the delivery room and I have to say watching her give birth was one of those priceless life-changing moments. It was such an amazing experience to be able to witness someone give birth. I had no clue what to expect, yes I birthed Annie 14.5 months ago, but seeing the joy/despair/pain from another perspective made the experience so different from my own. I hated to see Miranda in any pain and admittedly we shed several tears together during the course of her labour. Miranda was amazing, and remained calm and funny throughout. In the end, hearing "it's a Boy!" was great...even though I was wrong in my guess.
Cameron is an adorable baby boy and I cannot wait to watch him grow up. I feel like I should be there with Miranda helping to show her all the in's and out's of being a Mommy. Thankfully Skype has allowed us to stay connected and close even when I can't be there. Today I gave her a tutorial on how to use her breast pump and I was miles away. Thank godness for technology. So, for those of you counting Mason and I have 8 nephews and 1 niece.
Well, off to bed now. Tomorrow Annie and I are going to spend the day with Isla and Meghan visiting Gramma (Barb). It should be nice.
On the Annie front, she is getting more and more chatty with each passing day. Her latest thing is to point out pictures of people around the house and tell me who she sees. She has Isla "I-Laaaah," Nana "Nana," Henry "Biper" (yes, she calls Henry Diaper!) and Uncle Dean "Duh-duh Dee" down pat. We're still working on everyone else.
We went grocery shopping tonight and Annie was screaming in the produce section and leaning toward the veggies. I could not figure out what she wanted and then I realised "Doc-doli" was her way of saying Broccoli. So once I said, "OH, Broccoli!" She smiled and was like, ya Mom, that's what I said...and continued pointing out other things she knows. It's really amazing.
Off to bed for real!

I can't thank you enough for the breast pump lesson, sis. It's been a godsend. Baby Cameron was able to gain back 2 oz in one day thanks to that amazing piece of technology!! Only problem now, is that my milk just came in...ouch! Now it's really going to be pumping time. Gotta get rid of the burning boobies...will be around tomorrow afternoon to chat. We have a doctor's appointment for Cameron at 11:45. Love you and miss you guys.
